Salary: $67,000 - $85,000/yr.

Job Summary

Join our team as an Assistant Director of Dining Services where you will be part of an exceptionally driven and collaborative environment. This role offers an outstanding chance to lead and coordinate food services at the MSK Koch Cancer Center, including four units, a café, Starbucks, Market, and Patient Service. Located in the heart of New York City, this position is perfect for an ambitious professional looking to make a significant impact.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide flawless oversight and support across all food service units, ensuring world-class standards.
  • Collaborate with the Chef and management team to build nutritious and top-quality food.
  • Successfully implement new culinary programs in conjunction with marketing and culinary teams.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are closely met.
  • Manage, train, and develop a dedicated team of approximately 28 non-union associates.
  • Uphold and implement food service controls, sanitation, and production standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth operations across all units.

Qualifications:

  • Proven 1 to 3 years of food service management experience.
  • Solid background in food service operations within restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, or related fields.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to encourage and guide a team.
  • Competence and experience in effectively leading profitability and financial goals.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Equivalent experience in a related field is acceptable, although an Associate’s degree is preferred.
