Job Summary

The Basic Life Support Trainer is responsible for providing Basic Life Support Training/ CPR training following the American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines. This position will be accountable for effectively developing, coordinating, and delivering BLS/CPR training initiatives while ensuring meeting deadlines. Additionally, this position will develop a curriculum and execute/facilitate training courses within the Core business.

Manage own travel to different field sites/accounts

Essential Functions:

  • Provides Basic Life Support (BLS) education through scheduled classes.
  • Design and evaluate the Basic Life Support/CPR training program.
  • Develop and create PowerPoint Training Slides
  • Develops proficiency with equipment for classes.
  • Facilitates training and drives participation to make sure training deadlines are met.
  • Updates current training materials and supplies to reflect changes in laws, company processes & policies, business needs, etc.
  • Facilitate training for Eurest National Account employees
  • Traveling to different field sites is required.
  • Develops and implements effective training materials by utilizing a variety of media
  • Be a subject matter expert to drive BLS training.

Job Qualifications:

  • BS in Nursing or PA (physician’s assistant) or NP (Nurse practitioner)) degree is desired.
  • BLS teaching Certification
  • Be willing to travel to different client sites to provide training.
  • Experience Minimum of two years of education/instructing experience
  • Ability to create training materials
  • Strong organizational, planning, and presentation skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and meet deadlines on time
  • Must be a self-motivated individual who is comfortable speaking in large groups and with all levels of management
  • Must have excellent stand-up delivery and facilitation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and travel up to 100%
  • Must be able to create the customized training program
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
