  • We are hiring immediately for a TRAVELING CAFE MANAGER position.
  • Location: Local travel in Manhattan. Note: online applications accepted only.
  • Schedule: Full-Time; Monday through Friday, 7am-3:30pm.
  • Details: Coffee Distributing Corp serves over 15,000 customers in the New York and New Jersey area. While Coffee is still our first name we stock over 4500 different products from apples to Ziploc bags. Our customers' needs are ever-evolving and so do we. Our beverage equipment has evolved from coffee machines that grind and brew to water coolers that can provide carbonated water with your choice of flavoring and strength. We can also provide attendants to maintain your pantry based on your needs: whether 2 hours per week or 10 full-time staff at multiple locations. Now as part of Compass Group-USA, we can arrange seamless service across the country for any of your foodservice needs, whether catering, vending, special events, café management, or unattended markets. The Cafe Manager will travel to local clients on a daily basis to make sure clients are happy with the pantry service, including training pantry attendants and making sure products are rotated and inventory is ordered properly. 
  • Requirement: Must have management experience, communication skills, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and be able to travel by subway.
  • Reports to: Food Service Director

    Job Summary

    This individual will be responsible for the supervision of the food service operation, ensuring the standards of excellence are met. They will supervise associates and support financial responsibilities. 

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Hires, supervises, trains, and coaches associates.
    • Plans, markets and executes special events/promotions in the cafe
    • Ensures compliance with proper sanitation and cleaning standards
    • Operates within the budget and identifies new ways to improve the business
    • Manages cafe operations
    • Performs other duties as assigned


    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • At least 1-3 years of relevant experience
    • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations
    • Operational knowledge of cash handling procedures and food service equipment
    • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet
    • ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred
