Job Summary

Compass is looking for a Data Analytics Engineer that is responsible for modeling data to provide clean, accurate datasets so that different users within the company can work with them. Their role entails transforming, testing, and documenting data to drive innovation. Our product teams are responsible for creating premier member experiences using technical capabilities that are deployed on AWS.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with continuous integration and continuous deployment-based initiatives.
  • Create and update technical documentation such as source to target mapping documents, data dictionaries, etc.
  • Leveraging full stack of MS SQL Server to build data models and configure reporting platforms
  • Building and consuming API Platforms with in ETL capabilities
  • Designing and implementing efficient data pipelines (ETLs), data workflows using cloud platform products
  • Managing the datasets - tracking data lineage, ensuring data quality, and improving discoverability of data.
  • Designing and implementing data model changes that align with industry standards
  • Participate in the design and development of data solutions that enable effective self-service data consumption and can describe their value to the customer.
  • Uphold data security and data governance best practices
  • Appropriately prioritize incoming and existing requests to ensure alignment across teams and the work being performed has the highest impact to Indeed.

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years hands on experience with big data technologies (Snowflake, Redshift, or similar technologies)
  • Experience or proficiency with data engineering and analytic programming frameworks including SQL, R, Python, Alteryx and with data visualization frameworks including Tableau, Google Looker and/or Microsoft Power BI
  • 3+ years of reporting development experience
  • experience with SQL Server SSIS packages SQL, T-SQL stored procedures
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft Development environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
  • Experience with Data Architecture
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving capabilities
  • Proven ability to optimize SQL Queries and ETL Data load performance
  • Experience in SSAS multidimensional data models
