Job Summary

The Director of EquipREADY Services I provides leadership for our comprehensive EquipREADY service program for assigned hospital account(s) with focus on optimizing equipment sanitation, disinfection, and distribution. To supervise the work of EquipREADY technicians, and assigned personnel, whether Crothall employee or contracted vendor. Ability to work with, train and supervise others. The Director of EquipREADY Services I functions in a team-based work environment and focuses on the achievement of team-based requirements and goals.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential functions of the job include but are not limited to the following:

Customer Relations
* Respond expeditiously to calls from clinical departments to evaluate and rectify valid operator complaints and concerns.
* Organize and/or provide in-service educational programs on the cleaning and disinfection of equipment.
* Individual will maintain good personal relationships with fellow workers, nursing and medical staff, vendors, manufacturers, and the general public.
* Individual is expected to display effective customer service in accordance with annual satisfaction survey protocol.

Operation Excellence
* Strong work ethic and ability to work as a member of a team.

* Review Par levels and make recommendations to department staff concerning improvements.
* Supervise and instruct EquipREADY personnel in the safe use, testing, disinfection of all types of clinical equipment technologies and systems that are in scope to the contract.
* Provide leadership and managerial oversight to direct reports, as assigned, maintaining optimum productivity, quality, and efficiency.
* Planning, organizing, and directing the growth, effectivenesseffectiveness, and financial performance of the client contract in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Manage the equipment database (CMMS) and be able to generate utilization, par level and customer request reports.
* Maintain an orderly and functional working environment and follow the 5S cleaning methodology.
* Has flexibility to work augmented shifts based on the unit’s needs to meet with client’s contractual requirements.
* Prepare, present, and explain the equipment database (CMMS) reports to management as required.
* Ensure ATP testing is performed per facility protocol established; Manage and report scheduled ATP testing results.
* When required, represent the company on various hospital committees to ensure safe and effective equipment operation to the contract specifications.
* Establish and administer daily shift schedule; assume on-call responsibilities as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Associates degree in healthcare management discipline, or military training preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience can be substituted.
Certification(s) preferred i.e. CHTM, A+, etc.

Experience:

Minimum of seven (7) years working in a healthcare environment with shift management.
Leadership ability required.
Experience in supervision of on-site hospital technicians preferred.
