Job Summary

TITLE: On-Deck Summer Internship - Labor Relations

LOCATION: Levy Home Office - 980 N. Michigan Ave Chicago, IL

TIME FRAME: June 6, 2023 - August 10, 2023

Position Summary:

Levy’s On-Deck Summer Internship is a 10-week, project-based program with a focus on improving business operations on a strategic and multifunctional level. Interns will be exposed to Levy’s unique culture, personal and professional development workshops, and standards of service at Levy’s Home Office in Chicago, IL. This summer internship program is offered to full-time college students interested in a career in hospitality, sports and entertainment, or data analytics. Upon successful completion of the On-Deck program, interns have the potential to receive a full-time, entry-level position post-graduation.

Key Responsibilities:

On- Deck Interns will work independently or in a partnership/group on their 10-week project and will follow a structured curriculum presenting their findings to Levy Leadership at the conclusion of the summer.

The Labor Relations intern will be responsible for providing support to the Labor Relations department. This position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of labor relations and human resources. The intern will work closely with the Senior Director of Labor Relations and will have exposure to a variety of labor relations matters, including assisting with the interpretation of labor agreements, as well as the development and implementation of labor relations policies and programs. Additional responsibilities may include (but will not be limited to):

* Assist in the preparation and coordination of collective bargaining negotiations and contract administration

* Research and analyze labor laws, regulations, and industry trends * Provide support in resolving grievances, disputes, and other labor-related issues

* Assist with investigations related to unfair labor practices

* Draft and prepare communication materials related to labor relations topics

* Maintain accurate records and files related to labor relations matters

* Assist with training programs related to labor relations topics for management Required Qualifications:

* Full-time student currently enrolled at an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program majoring in an appropriate discipline

* Ability to provide own housing and transportation accommodations to Levy’s Chicago Home Office for the duration of the 10-week program

Preferred Qualifications:

* Familiarity with labor laws, regulations, and practices
