Job Summary

Compass Group USA is looking for a Lead Software Developer, you will be responsible for leading larger projects while continuing to stay technically hands-on.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops software including feature additions, modifications, bug fixes and unit tests.
  • Leads architectural design, system analysis, and development of application software; this may often require independent research and study.
  • Develop high-quality and production-ready software by using best-practice data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and frameworks that are maintainable, scalable, responsive, and secure.
  • Produces complete, simple, and readable technical documentation for everything developed and creates a team culture of documenting everything.
  • Collaborates closely with various departments and teams to gather and define requirements , identify risks and successfully deliver software that meets customer needs.
  • Effectively communicates tasks and ideas to collaborating teams
  • Assists in planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and reviews software code written by others to determine if the code meets company, departmental and team standards.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
  • Overall 12+ years of software development experience having built highly maintainable, high-performance, high-quality code.
  • Strong Full Stack Development experience in Java, Spring frameworks , Angular 2+ and JavaScript
  • Proficient in SQL, preferably across different types of databases ( Relational and Non-relational)
  • Experience with AWS Tech Stack : Lambda, S3 etc.
  • Experience with Node JS, Maven, Git, Jenkins, ADO Pipelines
  • Strong Experience with Scrum, Agile Process, Unit Testing.
  • Solid understanding of cloud development principles and software design patterns
  • Experience with IDM Engineering and building Access Management Platforms and Solutions is a plus.
  • Ability to research and apply innovative methodologies, latest industry trends, design patterns.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work on concurrent assignments with different priorities.
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to work collaboratively across several teams.
