Job Summary

Duties include processing payroll and subsequent reports, maintaining the time clock for associates and confirming all time is entered correctly and on time, onboarding new hires, and entering vacation and sick pay for associates. In addition, this position supports office and operation staff with administrative human resources needs.


Job Details

  • Daily duties include monitoring and correcting time sheets, printing paystubs for associates as needed, printing W2s for associates as needed and entering vacation
  • Bi-weekly payroll processing  
  • Entering vacation, sick, and holiday pay for associates
  • Provide leadership for the team regarding payroll processes, volume management, issue identification and resolution
  • Responsible for expert knowledge of the employee handbook and company policies and procedures
  • Assisting employees with requests
  • Responsible for completing the onboarding process for new hires 
  • Responsible for filling out, filing, and maintaining accurate and organized employee personnel files
  • Tracking new hires and union required reports
  • Keep abreast with Union Contract, administer enrollment and eligibility
  • Processing off-cycle payments


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related subject preferred

  •  3+ years of progressively responsible payroll management experience

  • Must have knowledge and understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws

  • Project management experience preferred

  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs 

  • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with multiple teams in requirements, testing and other activities

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a payroll environment

  • Commitment to quality, self motivated/can work independently

  • Ability to work in a confidential environment
