Job Description
- We are hiring immediately for a Pediatric Dietitian Specialist position.
- Location: Harbor UCLA Medical Center

- Schedule: Monday to Friday with limited weekend coverage
- Requirement: RD Credential, CCS paneled eligible or eligible within 6 months, speciality certification (CSP or CNSC) or will earn within 1 year of hire
- Starting Pay: $78,936-$96,226 depending on experience
- Job Details: The Pediatric Dietitian Specialist will provide evaluation/assessment and nutritional intervention/treatment of infants, pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients in the subspecialty clinic of pediatric cardiology, nephrology, genetics, and gastroenterology. The Dietitian will also provide cross coverage in pediatric inpatient units including NICU, milk room, PICU, step down, and general ward as needed. In this role, the Dietitian will be responsible for direct patient/family interaction, instruction/education, counseling in the outpatient clinic setting, communication with other Team members, and appropriate written documentation of dietary assessment and treatment plans. The Dietitian will conduct and participate in clinical, educational, and teleconference activities and will maintain all necessary licenses, certifications, and paneling, particularly CCS paneling.

Job Summary
We are seeking a Dietitian Specialist to join our Nutrition Team in an (Acute Care) setting in Torrance, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides /Lead nutrition services in identified specialty area for a minimum of 70% of workload/responsibilities.
- Trains and mentors patient/resident services staff and interns as applicable
- Fosters teamwork and establishes effective strategies to implement innovative programs which leads to optimal clinical nutrition and financial outcomes
- Complies with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient/resident rights policies
- Participates in patient/resident satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs
Qualifications:
- Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board, in states where required
- Two (2) years of experience in area of specialty required
- Specialty certification when applicable
- Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft applications, electronic medical record & diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programming
