Job Summary



Summary:  The runner is one of the most essential parts of any foodservice operation. The runner serves as a conduit between the kitchen and the suites, ensuring the timely and proper delivery of food and beverage to their respective zones. Suite runners report to the pantry or kitchen expo.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Delivering and picking up all food and/or beverage in a timely manner
  • Picking up dishes from suites throughout the event
  • Delivering supplies (such as plates, silverware, ice, etc.) to suites
  • Delivering Day of Event orders from the main kitchen
  • Maintaining a clean pantry by sweeping floors, wiping down carts, taking out trash, etc.
  • Assisting with close-out procedures by bringing dirty dishes back from suites, scraping plates, cleaning up pantry prior to leaving
