Job Summary
As a Catering Manager at the World Bank, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful operations of catering services. This busy account provides daily services to multiple buildings and hosts an array of diverse events and dignitaries. Outstanding hospitality, relationship building and flexibility are required traits for this role.
This position is generally Monday through Friday (occasional weekends) and requires flexible hours, generally between 7am and 7pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and execute catering events
- Works closely with the kitchen and culinary staff to create menus and provide outstanding service to a diverse group of guests
- Trains catering associates in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer service.
- Communicates on various levels to include management, client, customer and associate levels; maintains excellent client relationships.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of food service experience including 1 year of leadership experience.
- Catering experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
- Some knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
- Proficient computer and communication skills.
