Job Summary
Restaurant Associates at the Georgia Aquarium seeks an experienced Catering Operations Manager to oversee the seamless execution of both on-premise and off-premise catering events. This role is essential to ensuring that our events are delivered at the highest standards of quality and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of event operations, including but not limited to equipment inventory, event equipment pulls, and management of Housemen.
- Coordinate between Front of House and Culinary teams to ensure smooth communication and successful event execution.
- Manage fleet operations, ensuring safe and timely transportation of equipment and supplies for off-premise events.
- Oversee linen management, including inventory control, ordering, and maintenance of cleanliness standards.
- Serve as the direct liaison between the event teams, ensuring seamless transitions and problem-solving on the day of events.
- Maintain the organization and upkeep of all event equipment and resources, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available and in working condition.
Qualifications:
- 4-5 years of catering operations experience, with a strong focus on both on-premise and off-premise catering.
- Proven experience managing event logistics, including equipment, fleet, and staff oversight.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to effectively manage teams and collaborate with multiple departments.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
