ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES MANAGER

Schedule: Full time; 2nd shift, 2pm - 11:30pm with rotating weekends & holidays. More details are available upon interviewing.

Job Summary
As an Environmental Services Manager, you will lead and supervise the operational needs of the EVS department at an approximately 400 bed hospital. You will coordinate and prep associates tasks, assist in training and development, ensure a high level of cleanliness is attained, and serve as a liaison between administration and unit departments providing the highest possible level of quality service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates environmental services and housekeeping activities with other departments.
- Leads, trains, and develops frontline associates demonstrating quality leadership in meeting performance plans.
- Plans, organizes, directs, and supervises functions and activities of the department.
- Establishes work standards and work flow and implements policies and procedures.
- Encourages and mentors staff creativity and innovation.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies and is proactive in the achievement of the facility goals and objectives.
- Reads, develops, and coordinates the Total Quality Management process.
- Responsible for department’s financial data and statistics and monitoring of unit expenditures.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- We are willing to train; the ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, hospitable approach, drive, and initiative for quality and customer service.
- Environmental services, housekeeping, hospitality, support services, military, and/or facilities experience.
- 1+ years of lead, supervisory, or management experience.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, organization skills, management skills, and the ability to delegate efficiently.
- Problem-solving skills both one-on-one and in group situations.
- Understanding of budgeting processes and awareness of profit and loss concepts.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills, and prioritizing.
- Ability to function appropriately under stressful conditions.
- CRCST or other applicable sterile processing certifications are a plus.
- Proficient digital literacy and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
