Job Description
Salary: $75,000-$95,000/ yr.

Job Summary
We are seeking an Executive Chef to lead a dynamic culinary team in Fremont, CA.
Demonstrate outstanding culinary skills in a B&I account, serving approximately 350 people per day. Take charge of multi-station operations with a focus on catering. Benefit from a Monday to Friday work schedule and enjoy a balanced work-life experience in an ambitious and collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate kitchen operations, ensuring a safe and sanitary work environment for the 7-person team.
- Plan and implement regular and modified menus following established guidelines.
- Apply standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standards, using daily production worksheets and waste log sheets.
- Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, equipment operation, and sanitation based on company standards
- Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for kitchen equipment and work areas
- Maintain inventory of food and non-food supplies within established guidelines, ensuring vital products are available
- Make decisions on the utilization of leftover food products in compliance with company guidelines
- Adhere to federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations, as evidenced by health department and third-party audits
- Follow safety policies and procedures, including occurrence reporting
- Participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs
Preferred Qualifications
- A.S. degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of dynamic hands on culinary/kitchen management experience
- Extensive catering experience is a plus
- High volume, complex foodservice operations experience is highly desirable
- Institutional and batch cooking experience
- Hands-on chef experience is crucial
- Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and internet
- ServSafe certification is highly desirable
- Bilingual:English/Spanish preferred.
