Salary: $90,000 - $110,000

Other Forms of Compensation: Benefits and bonus eligible

Job Summary

Working as the Executive Chef of a corporate dining account at 1290 Ave of the Americas, you will be responsible for the successful operation of the culinary program including cafe services, catering and executive dining. You'll need to have strong financial acumen and be system savvy, have creative menu writing skills and be a strong people leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure top quality culinary operations and services including planning, preparation, safety, team leadership and hospitality
  • Maintains food cost while ensuring quality standards
  • Manages purchasing, inventory and cost controls
  • Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures as evidenced through local health department and third-party audits
  • Follows facility, department, and Company safety policies and procedures to include occurrence reporting
  • Participates and attends departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs, as appropriate


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five to eight years progressive culinary management experience
  • Related experience in luxury hospitality
  • Strong knowledge of current food and industry trends with a focus on using quality goods, production, sanitation, food cost controls and presentation
  • Knowledge of budgets, labor costs, inventory controls
  • Strong leadership, coaching and training skills
  • Proficient computer skills to include various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, e-mail, purchasing/inventory systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ServeSafe or Department of Health certification a plus
