Job Summary

Are you a dynamic culinary leader with a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences? Wolfgang Puck Catering is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to elevate the culinary operations at a prestigious corporate dining account in Sunnyvale. If you're an energetic, entrepreneurial professional ready to make an impact in a fast-paced, high-quality environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

As the Executive Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing day-to-day kitchen operations while working closely with the Executive Chef. You’ll assist with menu planning, food preparation, culinary execution, and supervising a talented team of chefs and kitchen staff. This is your chance to showcase your creativity, refine your leadership skills, and contribute to the growth of an innovative culinary program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and maintaining budgetary goals
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef in planning and designing seasonal menus
  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and a high standard of food quality
  • Execute and oversee catering events, ensuring flawless food presentation and service
  • Develop and roll out new culinary programs in partnership with the marketing and culinary teams
  • Oversee inventory and ordering of ingredients to ensure consistent quality and availability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent culinary certification and relevant experience
  • Proven track record in culinary leadership with some kitchen management experience
  • Experience in catering and high-volume foodservice operations is a plus
  • Strong understanding of food and catering trends, quality production, food cost controls, sanitation, and presentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and basic computer systems
  • ServSafe certification is highly desirable
