Job Summary

Overview:
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Retail Specialist Manager to oversee the daily operations of our eCommerce warehouse and ensure the smooth, accurate fulfillment of customer gift basket orders. This is a key role in our growing eCommerce business, responsible for ensuring on-time shipping, maintaining inventory levels, and managing a small team of packers making gift baskets. This is a "test and learn" pilot program so expect varying duties as the initial fulfillment operation is set up and volume ramps over several months.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the fulfillment process, managing a team of two fulfillment associates who will be responsible for picking, packing, and preparing gift basket orders for shipment.
* Ensure the accuracy of all orders being packed, verifying contents, and minimizing errors.
* Ensure all orders are packed and ready for UPS pickup on time daily.
* Manage and track inventory of goods, ensuring accurate counts and proper storage.
* Batch and print labels and packing slips using Shopify and ShipStation for efficient order processing.
* Mark orders as shipped in Shopify and update order statuses as needed.
* Monitor inventory of packing materials (e.g., boxes, tape, bubble wrap), reorder supplies, and forecast future needs to ensure no disruptions in the fulfillment process.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, understanding and enforcing safety basics.
* Handle customer service issues related to fulfillment, tracking, and shipping delays, and keep detailed records of customer service cases.
* Track all customer service inquiries for analysis related to damage, quality, accuracy, etc.
* Plan pre-packing of popular order types to stay ahead of holiday curve.
* Collaborate with other departments to optimize fulfillment processes and improve customer experience.
Requirements:
* Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
* Ability to manage and forecast inventory and supplies, with experience in reordering stock.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
* Customer-service oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
* Punctual and reliable with a track record of ensuring timely order fulfillment.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience managing or supervising a small team.
* Experience with UPS shipping and logistics processes.
* Ability to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes.
