Job Summary
Chartwells Higher Education at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio is dedicated to providing exceptional dining experiences that fuel the minds and bodies of our university community.
Working as an HR Generalist with Chartwells at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, your primary focus will be to support Human Resources functions and meets both the needs of the business and of our associates. The HR Generalist will lead hourly hiring initiatives, interview scheduling, onboarding new hires, and leading new hire orientations.

Miami University provides an exceptional on-campus dining experience for over 20,000 students, staff, and faculty that takes into consideration medical needs, lifestyle choices, cultural backgrounds, and religious affiliations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees hourly recruitment and onboarding.
- Ensures all Company HR related policies are applied consistently and compliance with all federal and state laws.
- Regularly runs and/or reviews HR activity reports.
- Attends department manager meetings, conducts classroom training, new hire orientation, and provides assistance with the implementation of HR initiatives.
- Prepares, coordinates and presents HR related topics and other HR related training.
- Reviews any request for pay increases or other status changes to ensure internal equity and consistency. Process status change forms.
- Participates in the Annual Performance Appraisal process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred
- Two plus years human resources generalist experience required
- Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience responding to common HR inquiries from employees
- Strong communication and presentation skills required
