Job Summary
This position will support the Director of Insurance and Insurance Manager with insurance placement, coverage review, vendor management and contract support for the Compass Group program. This position is responsible for evaluating company exposure data, completing insurance carrier applications, and providing customer service to all operations of the company including Canada.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:
- Supervise Broker issuance of Certificates of Insurance/Memorandum of Insurance, and auto ID cards as requested on an ad hoc basis as well post renewal issuance.
- Assist the Insurance Manager in the insurance renewal process for all lines of coverage (casualty, property and financial).
- Assist with exposure collection, binding, policy, endorsement and audit tracking.
- Maintain schedule of insurance, premium payments and expiration control log.
- Review insurance terms within contracts related to supplier, vendor, client, and landlord agreements to ensure compliance with the corporate insurance program as well as vendor requirements.
- Review and maintain proper electronic and hard copy files of the insurance policy documentation consisting of proposals, binders, policies and endorsements.

- Technological Competence - Knowledge of risk management technology and the ability to leverage such tools to improve the organization’s decision making criteria.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor Degree or 5 years’ experience in a corporate risk management or an insurance broker setting working for large complex accounts.
- In depth understanding of the technical and structural provisions of the various types of large deductible or SIR property, casualty, and financial insurance policies.
- Competent in utilizing common computer software programs such as Microsoft office, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Minimal travel required.
