Job Summary
The Suites Supervisor is a key role within our hospitality team, responsible for supporting the Suites Manager and supervising team members. This position ensures the efficient and effective operation of the Suites Department, maintaining high standards of service and guest satisfaction. The Lead Supervisor will train, mentor, and manage the team, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Supervision:
- Support the Suites Manager in daily operations and act as the primary point of contact in their absence
- Supervise, mentor, and manage part-time supervisors and team members
- Assist in staffing, scheduling, and training suite members
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, guests, subcontractors, and team members
- Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders to enhance service delivery and guest satisfaction
Guest Experience:
- Maintain positive guest relationships by obtaining regular feedback and addressing concerns promptly
- Ensure all suite services, food presentations, quantities, etc. meet or exceed guest expectations
- Retain and communicate menu information and service preferences to staff and guests
Training and Development:
- Train team members on menu, wine, and beverage knowledge
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance team performance and service quality
- Conduct regular pre-shift meetings to ensure clear communication between management and staff
Operations Management:
- Assist with the planning and execution of events
- Execute all menus, promotions, and programs as outlined by the Suite Manager
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless event operations
- Conduct pre-event suite walk-throughs to ensure suites are set the the Levy Standards as well as post-event walk-throughs to ensure breakdown and check for maintenance issues
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with Levy's service standards and operational policies
- Train, educate, and enforce responsible service of alcoholic beverages, evaluating compliance with corporate procedures
- Ensure all sanitation practices and Department of Health guidelines are followed
Administration:
- Accurately uses applicable Levy systems
- Pre-event distribution of suite attendant paperwork
- Ensure completed paperwork is collected from suite team members post-event
- Use performance tools to provide guidance and feedback to team members
Problem-Solving and Decision-Making:
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Address and resolve guest service issues promptly and effectively
- Troubleshoot and rectify issues across all departments within your area
- Adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for improving service quality and operational efficiency
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of leadership experience in a hotel, full-service restaurant, catering facility, or club environment
- Ability to walk and stand for up to 12 hours, including walking up and down stairs and lifting and carrying as required up to 30lbs.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
- Valid Nevada Food Handler Card, TAM Card
