Job Summary
As a senior member of the Retirement team, you will participate in various retirement-related projects which involve revision, development and/or redesign of existing retirement programs, system enhancement and automation, process improvements, and producing detailed analyses for various retirement activities. Accountabilities also include: implementing and administering retirement programs, system testing, providing ad-hoc reports for leadership; retirement consulting; and daily retirement plan administration and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
- Designs, builds, manipulates and produces detailed analyses and reports as requested; draws conclusions and makes recommendations based on the analyses.
- Participates in the analysis, development, design, communication and implementation of retirement programs including, annual year end and year begin processes.
- Provides ongoing customer service, explains retirement programs, answers questions, resolves problems and logically analyzes and resolves issues.
- Serves as liaison between HR, Field Management, vendors and associates to provide support as it relates to retirement policies and procedures.
- Supports training and communications requirements of various retirement programs.
- Proactively identifies ways to improve and/or automate retirement processes.
- Handles information and documents relevant to human resources with high degree of confidentially, urgency and attention to detail.
- Vendor management and able to work cohesively with internal partners.
- Responsible for day-to-day retirement operations and resolving any participant issues by either the vendor or internal partners.
- Partner with 3rd party vendors to ensure programs and plans are accurately and efficiently administered.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (i.e. use of pivot tables and formulas)
- Intermediate Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills
- Strong ability to capture and organize data in a manner that allows for impactful analysis and insights
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with associates at all levels in a corporate environment
- Excellent organizational and follow through skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Deferred Compensation, 401(k), and Pension plan knowledge
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a team player
- Ability to understand and adhere to guidelines that are mandated by the Federal Government
- Ability to anticipate and understand customer needs and deliver timely and accurate resolution.
- Ability to problem solve and set priorities, and to ask questions when needed.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills to manage difficult and sensitive matters.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and inspire change.
- Ability to work independently and problem solve in ambiguous situations where answers and direction are not clear.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years retirement plan administration or other relevant experience; support of an HR function strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree required
- SAP software knowledge, a plus
