Job Summary
As the Senior Executive Chef, you'll lead the culinary direction at this location. Collaborating closely with our partners, you'll craft a culinary journey tailored specifically to our location, ensuring that every guest/fan who walks through our doors enjoys an unforgettable experience.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Building a strong partnership with our onsite partner and developing a shared culinary vision for the location
- Representing Levy and our business objectives at partner meetings, networking and building relationships with key partners and vendors
- Overseeing and ensuring the highest standards of safety and sanitation in all activities across the culinary department
- Interviewing applicants interested in roles requiring your hiring consideration and approval
- Identifying opportunities and driving improvements in both the food and financial performance
- Overseeing season planning process ensuring alignment with Levy and partner expectations/goals
- Overseeing menu design and updates in line with food trends and internal data, cost of goods, and popularity
- Overseeing project management of construction/refurbishment activity that happens in the department
- Conducting event walks interacting with team members, guests, partners, and VIPs
- Creation of menu build diagrams
- Working closely with the regional and Home Office culinary teams to continually evolve the food experience for guests
- Working in partnership with our partners and regional leadership team to develop location strategic plan
- Conducting department safety walks so it maintains an outstanding level of safety and cleanliness
Job Requirements
- 5+ years experience as an Executive Chef in a high volume atmosphere
- Ability to taste and evaluate food and beverage products
- Culinary degree from a reputable culinary school is preferred
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to manage budgets, control costs and drive profitability
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulation
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with a guest focused mindset
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and professionalism
- High level of computer literacy
- Experience in the use of social media is preferred
