  • We are hiring immediately for a full time SOUS CHEF position.
  • Location: Hunt Oil - 1900 North Akard, Dallas, TX 75201 Note: online applications accepted only.
  • Schedule: Full time schedule. Monday - Friday, hours may vary. More details upon interview.
  • Requirement: At least 3 years of cook experience required.

Job Summary



Summary: As Sous Chef, you’ll collaborate with the Executive Chef to create extraordinary meals while supervising a talented team of 8 food-service associates. In this role, you’ll take the lead when the Executive Chef is away, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and our culinary standards are met with precision and care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook delicious meals using Wolfgang Puck’s signature recipes, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to production standards.
  • Lead a team of food-service associates, handling interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, and performance management.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety and sanitation, following corporate, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures to deliver an exceptional dining experience for 250 associates daily.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace that meets all safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Interact with customers to provide a top-tier service experience, resolving any concerns with a friendly and professional approach.
  • Monitor inventory, deliveries, and supplies, ensuring kitchen operations are always running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Perform other culinary and operational duties as assigned to support the team’s success.

Abides by all Company policies and procedures including but not limited to: 

  • The use of a medium weight cut gloves when handling or using knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer. 

  • The use of oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers or steamtables. 

  • The use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
