Job Summary

Restaurant Associates is seeking a Sous Chef in the Boston region. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an accomplished culinary team with prestigious corporate dining accounts and restaurants across the Boston area. As a member of our culinary team, you'll be assigned to various local locations to support the culinary services operation inlcluding supervision, preparation, cooking of various food items, developing daily menu items and their preparation and garnishment.

This position requires a Chef with open availability to work according to our business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist an onsite Executive Chef with production and execution of culinary operations
  • Support cost controls and control expenditures for the account
  • Assists with menu creations
  • Support kitchen and culinary operations, as directed


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Culinary experience in a fine dining or luxury hospitality setting
  • Some progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training
  • Catering experience a plus
  • High volume, complex foodservice operations experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Must be experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet
  • Outstanding hospitality skills
  • ServSafe certified
