Job Summary:
The Student Athlete Dining Operations Manager is responsible for working alongside the Executive Sous Chef and the Athletics Nutritional team to oversee the Student Athlete Dining program. Responsible for ensuring high standards of the team dining experience at multiple locations, safety, and financial performance. The ideal candidate will be an experienced food and beverage leader. A great coach who can get the best out of people and continually drive operational performance and execution. Target start date is 12/16/24.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Understands all menus, product offerings, packaging and pricing
- Ensures all food areas have proper displays and signage
- Executes all safety and sanitation standards
- Leads business planning, menu development and submission in partnership with Culinary and Nutrition teams
- Provides operational planning to ensure adequate product is ordered to provide exceptional service
- Maintain positive and professional relationship and builds an effective rapport with the client, location business partners, department leaders
- Ensures show quality standards are maintained at all times
- Regularly obtains feedback from clients and guests to improve operations
- Responds and assists in any departmental guest service issues
- Collaborate with partner to ensure the highest level of Athlete dining experience within budget
- Assists in the coordination of daily staff Family Meal
- Manage inventory and spoilage in all overseen venues
- Ensures team members adhere to Levy Company guidelines as stated in the team member training manual and employee handbook
- Forecasts and adequately schedules team members to meet operational needs and desired targets
- Ensures assigned areas are fully stocked and are ready for operation
- Conducts regularly scheduled meetings to ensure lines of communication are open between management and team members
- Interviews, hires, trains and develops team members according to Levy guidelines
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years of relevant food and beverage experience
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management is preferred
- High level of computer literacy
- Understanding of financial concepts
- Passion for hospitality, food, and retail
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Must be able to work extended shifts of 10 hours or more as business dictates
- Must be flexible with schedule and able to work different shifts
- Must be able to reach, lift, stoop, bend and perform extensive standing and walking (including stairs) throughout shift
