Job Summary
As a Training Table Manager, you will oversee the operations of the training table facility, ensuring that athletes receive high-quality meals tailored to their nutritional needs. You will coordinate with nutritionists, chefs, athletic trainers, and other staff to create menus that support athletes' performance goals. Your responsibilities will include managing inventory, supervising staff, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and implementing efficient processes to streamline meal preparation and service. Additionally, you will monitor dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring that all athletes receive meals that align with their individual needs.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Collaborate with nutritionists, chefs, and athletic trainers to develop menus that support athletes' nutritional requirements and performance goals.
- Ensure that meals are balanced, varied, and appealing to athletes, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the training table facility, including meal preparation, service, and cleanup.
- Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain sufficient stock of food and beverages.
- Implement efficient workflows and processes to optimize meal preparation and service times
- Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that they adhere to food safety protocols and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Schedule staff shifts and assign responsibilities to ensure adequate coverage during meal times.
- Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring that meals meet established standards of taste, appearance, and nutritional value.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Interact with athletes to gather feedback on meals and incorporate their preferences into menu planning.
- Address any concerns or special requests from athletes regarding their dietary needs.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of previous experience in food service management, preferably in a high-volume or athletic setting
- Strong knowledge of nutrition principles and dietary requirements for athletes.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management is preferred
- High level of computer literacy
- Understanding of financial concepts
- Passion for hospitality, food, and retail
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
